Holds on Your Account

A hold on your account means that something requires your attention. Holds can be related to financial obligations, academic standing, required documents, or other issues. Review the specific type of hold below to learn how to resolve it.

How to View Holds on Your Account

  1. Log in to .
  2. Click on the SIS tile under My Applications.
  3. Select the Action Items & Messages tile to view your holds.

Types of Holds and Steps to Resolve Them

Academic Dismissal or Academic Suspension

Academic Probation

Application is Self-Sufficient

  • Submit the following documents to the :
    • The Independent Form
    • Your federal and state tax returns
    • Your photo ID
    • Immigration documents (if applicable)

Debt to College or Debt to Controller

Debt to Financial Aid (Waiting for Information)

Dual Enrollment or Home School/Special Provisions

English as a Second Language (ESL)

ESL Level 2

If you tested into ESL Level 2, you must work with the Student Service Center to complete your enrollment.

High School Student

New First Time in College

If you are a first-year student under age 24:

No High School/GED Graduation

Permanent Foreign Applicant or Temp/No Foreign Application

Parent, Legal Guardian, or Spouse

If your tuition status is based on a parent, legal guardian, or spouse:

  • Submit their immigration documents to verify one year of status to the .
